All the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey…

Day 4 as we are about to leave Oregon. To this point, we passed through the fall foliage of Washington, the wet of Portland, and the coastal misty skies punctuated by sunny periods from Central to Southern Oregon. Stuart was busy counting Trump signs, totalling 8 in the entire state of Washington, about 2 in Central Oregon Coast, and about a 2 dozen in the southern Coast communities. Conspicuously missing were Clinton signs such that we didn’t believe they existed, until we saw a couple tiny signs yesterday.

Highlights:  Seal Rock, Cape Perpetual, Heceta Head, Newport, Coastal Dunes, Bandon.

A special highlight was finding free beach camping last night (near Coos Bay) which allowed for an amazing sunset, a late night beach walk under starry skies and a seagull party on the beach when we awoke this morning. Temperatures are cooler than expected and it all feels very much like the wild coast of B.C.
